Welcome to YMCA Camp Miller!

Welcome to YMCA Camp Miller. Our goal is to provide campers with a positive experience which enhances growth in spirit, mind and body. To develop personal growth through exposure to supportive and nurturing role models. To instill a sense of community values, trust, respect, a spirit of cooperation, teamwork, leadership and independence!

Camp Miller is located in a pristine White Pine forest along the shoreline of beautiful Sturgeon Lake, 45 miles south of Duluth and less than two hours north of the Twin Cities, MN. Our extensive waterfront and horseback riding programs make us a premier YMCA camp.

We offer a world of fun and exciting learning experiences. YMCA Campers will enjoy gathering around campfires and singing campfire songs, learning about nature and the environment and how to protect it, swimming, learning water skills, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, and fishing on beautiful Sturgeon Lake. Campers will also have the opportunity to learn the skills needed to complete our Adventure Center and go horseback riding.

Day Camp Counselor

Hi. I'm Starpod. I'm new to Camp Miller and the area. My husband and I just moved here this year. I do Day Camp all the time and it's great! The daycampers are really fun and excited to be here. Some come back several weeks.

My favorite day at camp is Theme Day when everyone dresses up and we play theme games, like Caveman Days.

I have fond memories of working at Bible Camp when I was in college, so I knew I would enjoy being a kid a bit longer and working at camp again.

I really enjoy being outdoors and wish I had more time to go kayaking at camp and to climb the Tower. I also enjoy tennis, biking and volleyball.

Our fun filled activities teach the benefits of teamwork,conservation of resource and the four core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Summer Camp is something everyone should experience! Fun games, arts and crafts, lots of group activities, thought for the day, and songs around the campfire are just a few of the things everyone loves about camp.
